While at the Dam make sure you take the optional Hoover Dam Discovery Tour. This is the only tour offered at Hoover Dam. It can be purchased when you check in on the day of your tour. Costing only $11.00 per person (Children under 6 are free.) the Discovery Tour includes access to the Visitor Center, lectured presentation by professional guides, 25 minute movie of the dam's original construction, access to the indoor and outdoor observation decks and a limited interior tour that takes you to view the generator room via one of the dam's elevators.
Notice: On all Hoover Dam tours bags, purses, cases, back packs, fanny packs must undergo security x-ray screening and are subject to search as is strollers and wheelchairs. Cameras are allowed.
